The Rugby World Cup 2023, held in France, was the sporting event of the year, attracting millions of rugby fans from all over the world. This edition brought together matches in 9 iconic stadiums located in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Lille, Toulouse, Nice, Nantes, Bordeaux and Saint-Étienne. With impressive figures, the event welcomed over 2.5 million spectators, generating exceptional worldwide media coverage.
With record crowds, the Rugby World Cup 2023 made its mark. The host cities welcomed visitors from all over the world, contributing to an unforgettable spectacle. GL events, as official sponsor, played a crucial role in the staging of this major sporting event, underlining its commitment to excellence.
Our furniture solution
A partner of choice for the Rugby World Cup
GL events provided a complete furniture solution for the nine stadiums of the competition, covering the presidential box, the restaurants, the cocktail areas, the villages, the Broadcast Center, the dressing rooms and part of the hospitality. Our teams delivered 62 semi-trailers and trucks to guarantee the installation. The mobilization of human, logistical and material resources over an extended period was necessary, while maintaining our day-to-day activities. We installed :
- 2,255 folding chairs
- 2,000 stools, including 240 in the VIP rooms
- 200 table-tops, including 160 in VIP rooms
Deployment throughout France also represented a major challenge, with stocks and teams tied up for long periods. Thanks to our expertise and ability to manage large-scale projects, the GL events group was a key partner in the success of this international sporting event.
